LONG LAKE STUDIOS

Artists’ studios occupy a tiny sunny spot carved out from oak forest and ledge. Swaying shade and cooling greens come from birches and ferns brought back in around the structures to temper the bright northern light. Steep and rustic trails access the studios, climbing slowly and delicately from the camp below, with small grassy clearings dotted along the way to stop in and catch one’s breath and perhaps some inspiration.
