BIG HOUSE

This project is just the first step in a family’s long-term commitment to both honoring and enhancing the history and future of this incredibly special oceanfront property. With a multi-year renovation underway at the main house, we kicked off with a new pavillion tucked into a hillside and under an oak and maple grove; providing parking and storage, along with recreation spaces and quiet destinations. The landscape around this new structure emphasizes connection to the main house and its context with boardwalks and granite paths, and low pier block walls and waving shore plantings that frame views to two beaches.
